Softball Game Preview: GMG Wolverines vs. Dunkerton Raiders

The GMG Wolverines will square off against the Dunkerton Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. GMG's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Dunkerton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

GMG fell victim to Clarksville and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Wolverines have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dunkerton). They walked away with a 14-9 win over Baxter on Friday.

Dunkerton's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11. As for GMG, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Everything went GMG's way against Dunkerton when the teams last played back in June of 2023, as GMG made off with a 12-0 win. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
