After a string of three wins, Conrad Science's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to the Liberty Hurricanes 58-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Red Wolves came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fourth in Delaware, while the Hurricanes are ranked 156th in Pennsylvania).

Conrad Science's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Liberty, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conrad Science will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Liberty, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Downingtown West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
