Basketball Recap: Berea Bulldogs vs. Seneca Bobcats
Berea lost against Seneca on January 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Berea Bulldogs took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seneca Bobcats.
Seneca found their leader in sophomore Savannah Weston, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. What's more, Weston also racked up three steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ja'Nyce Floyd, who posted 14 points.
Berea has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Seneca, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berea will host Travelers Rest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seneca, they will take on Greer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
