Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Cougars vs. Brentwood Academy Eagles

The Centennial Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Brentwood Academy Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Centennial has three straight victories, Brentwood Academy has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Brentwood Academy's offense. They fell 4-0 to Goodpasture Christian on Tuesday.

Brentwood Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Brentwood Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Centennial hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. It's a different story for Brentwood Academy, though, as they've only averaged .219. Will they be able to contain Centennial's hitters?

Everything went Centennial's way against Brentwood Academy in their previous meeting on Monday, as Centennial made off with a 12-5 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Centennial since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
