Barbe extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 5-5. They were the clear victors by a 70-49 margin over the Sam Houston Broncos. The Buccaneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Barbe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jelandon Gray led the charge by rushing for 70 yards and one score, while also throwing for 117 yards and one touchdown on only ten passes. The Buccaneers also got help from Myles Ledoux, who showed off his sure hands for 91 receiving yards.

As for Sam Houston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games.

Despite the loss, Sam Houston still got an impressive performance from Gavin Breaux, who rushed for 223 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Breaux's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 121 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was E.J. Hanney, who rushed for 97 yards and one score.

Barbe has already played their next contest, a 49-21 victory against Northwood on the 14th. Sam Houston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
