Softball Recap: Lee Williams Comes Up Short

Lee Williams was the 8-7 winner over Bradshaw Mountain when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Volunteers fell 4-1 to the Bears on Wednesday.

Lee Williams saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Bills (2027), who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Lee Williams has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Bradshaw Mountain, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12-1.

Coming up, Lee Williams will host Copper Canyon at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they are taking a road trip to take on Mohave at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunderbirds have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
