Softball Recap: Eaton Rapids Triumphs

Eaton Rapids came out on top against Trenton on Sunday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Greyhounds walked away with an 8-4 win over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Greyhounds.

Ari Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Abi Pratt, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Taylor Orta was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Eaton Rapids' victory bumped their record up to 25-9. As for Trenton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Coming up, Eaton Rapids will take on Lansing Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trenton, they will head out on the road to take on Taylor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Griffins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.22 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
