Basketball Game Preview: Wakulla War Eagles vs. Nature Coast Tech Sharks

The Wakulla War Eagles will head out to face off against the Nature Coast Tech Sharks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakulla will be strutting in after a victory while Nature Coast Tech will be coming in after a loss.

Wakulla is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Community Christian: they outscored them in every quarter. Wakulla enjoyed a cozy 69-55 win over Community Christian on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the War Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Wakulla's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Demarkus Roberts, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Vaughn, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Nature Coast Tech lost to Lecanto on the road by a 50-36 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Panthers are ranked 60th).

Nature Coast Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Wakulla, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.
