Football Recap: St. Lucy's Regents vs. La Serna Lancers
St. Lucy had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-7 to make it four. They lost to the La Serna Lancers on the road by a 35-19 margin. On the bright side, the 19- point performance marked the Regents' highest-scoring game to date.

Despite the loss, St. Lucy's still got an impressive performance from Emma Ramirez, who rushed for 203 yards on only 14 carries, and also threw for 144 yards and three TDs. With that strong performance, Ramirez is now averaging an impressive 110 rushing yards per game. A healthy portion of Ramirez's aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Adrienne Ortiz.

A big part of La Serna's win came down to the chemistry between Ella Almonte and her top target Lexi Avila. Almonte threw for 292 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes while Avila picked up 168 receiving yards and three scores. Those 292 passing yards gave Almonte a new career-high.
Coming up, St. Lucy's will be playing at home against Edgewood at 7:15 p.m. on September 3. As for La Serna, they are taking a road trip to challenge Warren at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
