Volleyball Recap: Las Vegas Takes a Loss

Las Vegas lost against Bonanza back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Las Vegas took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bonanza. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Las Vegas started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-19, 30-28.

Despite the loss, Las Vegas still got an impressive performance from Omar Duarte, who had 31 digs and one assist. Those 31 digs gave Duarte a new career-high.

Las Vegas' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Bonanza, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Coming up, Las Vegas will challenge Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bonanza, they will face off against Doral Academy Red Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bonanza is facing Doral Academy Red Rock at the right time seeing as Doral Academy Red Rock is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
