Meanwhile, Sam Houston kept a clean sheet against David Thibodaux on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Sam Houston's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Comeaux's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-4. As for Sam Houston, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 7-10-3.
