Basketball Game Preview: Grandview Wolves vs. Mullen Mustangs

The Grandview Wolves will challenge the Mullen Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Grandview has given up an average of 50 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Grandview and Cherokee Trail, and Cherokee Trail kept the tradition alive. The Wolves fell 66-56 to the Cougars on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Cougars are ranked first).

Despite the loss, Grandview got top-tier performance from Sorrelle Kamgang, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Amya Narducci, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Mullen also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Arapahoe by a score of 52-39. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mullen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Grandview, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Everything went Grandview's way against Mullen when the teams last played back in February of 2025, as Grandview made off with a 59-39 win. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
