Soccer Recap: Irvin Comes Up Short

Irvin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ysleta Indians. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Rockets couldn't quite close it out.

Irvin's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Ysleta, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Irvin will take on Austin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ysleta, they will challenge Harmony Science Academy at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
