Football Recap: Fountain Inn Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fountain Inn lost against Westside back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fury took a blow against the Rams, falling 48-21. The Fury have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Fountain Inn had strong showings from Bojack Johnson, who rushed for 86 yards and one touchdown, and Sam Holliday, who threw for 132 yards and a pair of TDs.

Keylan Powell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Westside, rushing for 164 yards and five scores. Powell has become a key player for the Rams: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Fountain Inn's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Westside, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

Coming up, Fountain Inn will venture away from home to square off against Emerald at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fury's defense better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 29.9 points per game this season. As for Westside, they will face off against Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
