Baseball Recap: Elgin Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Elgin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the North Baltimore Tigers by a score of 8-4 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Elgin's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for North Baltimore, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Looking ahead, Elgin will host Hardin Northern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Baltimore, they will challenge Bluffton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
