Recap: Northern Nash Knights vs. Nash Central Bulldogs
The Northern Nash Knights posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They blew past Nash Central 76-47 on the road. Given Northern Nash's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Nash Central is ranked 584th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northern Nash was led to victory by Randall King and Izeal Mallory II. King scored 19 points along with six assists, while Mallory II scored 25 points along with three steals. Mallory II hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Kamren Freeman, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Northern Nash's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Nash Central, they bumped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
Northern Nash will head out on the road to challenge Rocky Mount at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rocky Mount focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Nash Central, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Roanoke Rapids at 7:00 p.m.
