The GREEN Upstate Owls had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged Spartanburg Day out 2-1. Even though GREEN Upstate was hit with a red card (from Sebastian Pinzon), the team's aggressive strategy still got them the 'W'.

Eric Castillo, who scored both of GREEN Upstate's goals.
GREEN Upstate will head out on the road to face off against Brashier Middle College Charter at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spartanburg Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenville H at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Spartanburg Day is facing Greenville H at the right time seeing as Greenville H is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
