After losing to Douglas Byrd the last time they met, Gray's Creek decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gray's Creek Bears came out on top against the Douglas Byrd Eagles by a score of 56-47 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Douglas Byrd's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shania McLucas, who posted 24 points and six steals. That's the most points McLucas has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Jazmine Burns, who put up 13 points and eight rebounds.

Gray's Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Douglas Byrd, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Gray's Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against Douglas Byrd: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
