Camarillo entered their tilt with Jurupa Hills on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Spartans. The result was nothing new for the Scorpions, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jadyn Claycamp was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Claycamp was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Khloie Hartman and Laynee Flores did most of the damage at the plate: Hartman scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Flores got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run. Another player making a difference was Delaney Vazquez, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Camarillo's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Jurupa Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Camarillo will be playing in front of their home fans against Moorpark at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Scorpions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Musketeers have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Jurupa Hills, they have already played their next matchup, a 13-1 defeat against Saugus on the 29th.
