Football Game Preview: Section Lions vs. Pleasant Valley Raiders + How To Watch

The Section Lions will challenge the Pleasant Valley Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Section has given up an average of 32.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Section is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points on October 3rd, they were much more limited against North Sand Mountain last Friday. They were outmatched by the Bison and fell 57-7. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Bison recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Valley had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They strolled past the Bison with points to spare, taking the game 42-27. 42 seems to be a good number for the Raiders as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Section better keep an eye on Braxton Salster. He was instrumental in Pleasant Valley's win, rushing for 208 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Salster a new career-high. Kayden Vick was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and one score.

Pleasant Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Pleasant Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Section, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
