Basketball Game Preview: Seneca Red Hawks vs. Male Bulldogs

Seneca hasn't had much luck against Male recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Seneca Red Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Male Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Seneca is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 255-0 defeat at the hands of Atherton. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Red Hawks were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Male faced Great Crossing in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Male fell just short of Great Crossing by a score of 60-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since January 20, 2024.

Male is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7. As for Seneca, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Seneca opened the new year with a less-than-successful 70-59 loss to Male. Can Seneca avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
