Basketball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Salem lost against Roxana back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Salem Wildcats fell to the Roxana Shells 49-43. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Roxana's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Stemm, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. Cohen Dugan was another key player, going 7 of 17 on his way to 18 points.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Roxana, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Salem will venture away from home to take on Vandalia at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Roxana, they will host Marissa/Coulterville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
