Basketball Recap: Immaculata-La Salle Victorious

Immaculata-La Salle won the last time they faced Sunset, and Alexandra Gonzalez Casar did her part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions' way against the Sunset Knights on Tuesday as the Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions made off with a 41-18 win thanks in part to Gonzalez Casar, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Sunset lost, don't look at Gabriela Rojas. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

Immaculata-La Salle's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Sunset, their record now sits at 3-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Immaculata-La Salle won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against David Posnack Jewish Day at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sunset, they will challenge Lourdes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
