Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Burlington

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Burlington had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They secured a 50-44 W over the Caney Valley Bullpups. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won six contests in a row.

Burlington found their leader in sophomore Mac Medlock, who posted 22 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Medlock is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Grace Birk, who earned nine points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Burlington pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points on average over those games. As for Caney Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Burlington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 41-31 loss against Girard on the 7th. Caney Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
