Softball Recap: Richland Northeast Cavaliers vs. Camden Bulldogs
Richland Northeast extended their losing streak to seven on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-14 in the process. They lost 17-0 to the Camden Bulldogs. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cavaliers haven't been shut out since back in March.
As for Camden, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.
For Camden's part, Maddie Stokes was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Stokes has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Camden got a massive performance out of KK Washington, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Washington's first of the season. Audri Phillips was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
As of now, neither Richland Northeast nor Camden have any future games scheduled.
