Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Horse Creek Academy

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Horse Creek Academy walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Abbeville Panthers a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Stallions have won by exactly four runs.

Horse Creek Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Martin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Horse Creek Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The win was the third in a row for Horse Creek Academy, bringing their record up to 12-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Abbeville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.
