The Dunlap Eagles will take on the Lincoln Railsplitters at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dunlap is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Lincoln will be up against a hot Dunlap team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Dunlap walked away with a 5-1 win over Springfield on Monday.

Dunlap saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Newton, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Eli Michanicou also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln lost 12-2 to Sacred Heart-Griffin on Tuesday. The Railsplitters haven't had much luck with the Cyclones recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Lincoln now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Dunlap, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Dunlap was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 12-8. Will Dunlap repeat their success, or does Lincoln has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
