Softball Preview: South Elgin Storm vs. Streamwood Sabres        
        
		
            
 South Elgin is 10-0 against Streamwood since May of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The South Elgin Storm will play host again  on Thursday to welcome the Streamwood Sabres, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:30  p.m. South Elgin is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.2  runs per game  this season.
 South Elgin is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout  on Thursday, just like they did against Aurora East (and have done all season long). South Elgin never let Aurora East onto the board and left with  a   15-0  victory  on Tuesday.
  Bri Wascher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Wascher has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Wascher was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 In other pitching news,  Jenna Sheehan looked comfortable as she  pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 Back at the plate,  Emma Bell was a standout: she scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.  Adreana Hauser was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, sadly, Streamwood is still looking for their first win of the season after nine  contests. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 18-0 walloping at the hands of West Chicago on Tuesday.
 South Elgin is  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 12 games,  which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record  this season. As for Streamwood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
 South Elgin took their  win against Streamwood  when the teams last played  on Wednesday by a conclusive  22-0. Does  South Elgin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Streamwood turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
