Volleyball Game Preview: Los Gatos Wildcats vs. Harker Eagles

Los Gatos is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Harker is on a seven-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Los Gatos Wildcats will welcome the Harker Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Los Gatos was able to grind out a solid win over Cupertino, taking the game 3-1.

While Los Gatos might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Cupertino scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Harker posted their closest victory since April 5, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Monta Vista. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Matadors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Harker who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-12, 20-25, 25-15, 22-25, 18-16.

Los Gatos is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Harker's win bumped their record up to 7-1.
