Volleyball Recap: University Pathways Medical Magnet Takes a Loss

University Pathways Medical Magnet was the 3-2 winner over TEACH Tech Charter when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. University Pathways Medical Magnet fell just short of TEACH Tech Charter by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While University Pathways Medical Magnet didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating TEACH Tech Charter 25-17 in the first set.

University Pathways Medical Magnet started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 12-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-11.

Anderson Quiroz paced University Pathways Medical Magnet's offense, picking up eight kills. Quiroz got some help from Joey Peralta and his 15 assists. Quiroz was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

University Pathways Medical Magnet's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for TEACH Tech Charter, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
