Baseball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Independence can now relate to. They fell 5-0 to the East Forsyth Eagles on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Patriots haven't been shut out since back in March.

Independence dropped their record down to 12-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for East Forsyth, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Forsyth, they have already played their next matchup, a 17-0 loss against Marvin Ridge on the 8th.
