Basketball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was the 59-50 winner over St. Anthony when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Newton Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 59-58 to the St. Anthony Bulldogs. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 19-15 in the first quarter.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for St. Anthony, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 25-4.

As of now, neither Newton nor St. Anthony have any future games scheduled.
