Wheatland won the last time they faced Las Plumas and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

While Wheatland won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 26-24.

Las Plumas' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivea Hobbs, who had 32 digs. Myli Benedict was another key player, getting 26 digs and 13 assists.

Wheatland now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Las Plumas, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coming up, Wheatland will face off against Oakmont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Las Plumas and Enterprise will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
