James Monroe came out on top against Midland Trail on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Mavericks walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Patriots. Surprisingly, this marked the Mavericks' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

James Monroe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Midland Trail, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

James Monroe will take on Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mavericks surely won't give up without a fight. Midland Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
