Baseball Recap: Bagdad Takes a Loss

Bagdad lost against Hayden back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sultans fell just short of the Lobos by a score of 4-3. The Sultans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Destry Owings was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Dj Gramanz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Bagdad's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Hayden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Bagdad wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against San Tan Charter on the 12th. As for Hayden, they have also already played their next game, a 15-4 loss against Globe on the 12th.
