Hesston took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Garden Plain, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Swathers skirted past the Owls 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Swathers as they're now sitting on six straight.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Hesston who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 23-25, 25-21.

Hesston was led to victory by Callie Yoder and Jenna Nelson. Yoder had 14 digs and three assists, while Nelson had six digs.

Hesston's win bumped their record up to 26-12. As for Garden Plain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 29-10.

Coming up, Hesston will challenge Silver Lake at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Garden Plain, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Halstead on the 25th.
