Basketball Recap: Branford Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Branford won the last time they faced Dixie County, and Amyah James did her part to make sure it happened again. The Branford Buccaneers came out on top against the Dixie County Bears by a score of 51-43 on Tuesday thanks in part to James, who posted 18 points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played.

Autumn Bailey was another key player, putting up seven points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Branford has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Dixie County, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Branford will face off against Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dixie County, they will challenge Bell at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
