Baseball Game Preview: Millennium Charter Academy Lions vs. Bethany Community Wolves

Millennium Charter Academy hasn't had much luck against Bethany Community recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lions will head out to square off against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Millennium Charter Academy has given up an average of 17.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Millennium Charter Academy's offense. They came up short against Cornerstone Charter Academy on Friday, falling 21-0.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, Bethany Community was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of The North Carolina Leadership Academy by a score of 2-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Gavin Washburn was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Bethany Community's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Millennium Charter Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Millennium Charter Academy might still be hurting after the 18-0 defeat they got from Bethany Community in their previous meeting on March 4th. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
