Volleyball Recap: Maryvale Takes a Loss

Maryvale lost against Browne back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Bruins.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 17-25, 25-23.

Viridiana Trejo Rios paced Maryvale's offense, picking up nine kills. Trejo Rios got some help from Melissa Higuera and her nine assists.

Maryvale's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Browne, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Maryvale has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against La Joya Community on the 20th. As for Browne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Dobson on the 20th.
