Basketball Recap: Bath Wildcats vs. Defiance Bulldogs
The Bath Wildcats won the last time they faced the Defiance Bulldogs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Bath enjoyed a cozy 39-21 victory over the Bulldogs. Given Bath's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 687th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Defiance saw an underclassman step up: Isabella Rowlison scored 12 points. Rowlison continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
The win makes it two in a row for Bath and bumps their season record up to 13-5. As for Defiance, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bath will challenge the Redskins at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Defiance, they will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
