Softball Game Preview: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. Cedar Valley Aviators

The Timpanogos Timberwolves will square off against the Cedar Valley Aviators at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Timpanogos' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on American Fork with a sharp 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Cavemen: they've now won four in a row.

Eisley Bennett was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleah Sao, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Timpanogos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American Fork only posted an OBP of .286.

Meanwhile, Cedar Valley won against South Summit on Saturday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Cedar Valley came out on top against Sky View by a score of 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aviators.

The team relied heavily on Ellie Leatham, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Eva Okusi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Cedar Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Timpanogos, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
