Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jake Henderson and Christian Hart Lead Woodstock Academy to Victory

Woodstock Academy had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Cheney Tech on Wednesday. The Centaurs blew past the Chargers 3-0. The Centaurs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chargers, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-9, 25-17.

Leading Woodstock Academy to victory were Christian Hart and Jake Henderson. Hart had 13 digs and four aces, while Henderson had 19 assists and three digs. Henderson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

They weren't the only good server: Woodstock Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Woodstock Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Cheney Tech, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodstock Academy will welcome Capital Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Centaurs are facing the Trailblazers at the right time seeing as the Trailblazers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Cheney Tech, they will host Norwich Free Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
