Auburn faced Thompson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 7-2 margin over the Warriors. The win was nothing new for Auburn as they're now sitting on four straight.

Auburn's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those five games. As for Thompson, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6-1.

Auburn and Thompson are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will square off against Dothan on Monday. Dothan will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Auburn surely won't give up without a fight. As for Thompson, they will take on Oak Mountain on Monday.
