Preview: Flagstaff Eagles vs. Coconino Panthers
Flagstaff is 1-9 against Coconino since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Flagstaff Eagles will play host again and welcome the Coconino Panthers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 13 more assists than your opponent, a fact Flagstaff proved on Wednesday. They took down Bradshaw Mountain 65-47.
Among those leading the charge was Connor O'brien-piubeni, who scored 18 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Fritsch, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Coconino posted their biggest victory yet this season on Monday. They blew past Mohave 63-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Coconino has posted against Mohave since February 2, 2021.
Flagstaff's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Coconino, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.
