Baseball Recap: Neshaminy Takes a Loss

Neshaminy blew Holy Ghost Prep out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Holy Ghost Prep got their revenge. Neshaminy fell just short of Holy Ghost Prep by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Skins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Neshaminy got a good showing from Jared Kligerman, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Neshaminy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Hollenbach, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Neshaminy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Holy Ghost Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Neshaminy will take on Harry S. Truman at 3:45 a.m. on Monday. As for Holy Ghost Prep, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Malvern Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
