Basketball Recap: Tuba City Warriors vs. ALA - Ironwood Warriors
Tuba City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 61-27 loss at the hands of the ALA - Ironwood Warriors.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Tsinnie, who posted eight points. Marai Bilagody was another key player, putting up seven points.
ALA - Ironwood had a senior duo take command as Porter Lee went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds and Noah Adkins had ten points and four steals. Those 17 points gave Lee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Curtis Coplin, who put up eight points.
Tuba City's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for ALA - Ironwood, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Tuba City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 81-42 defeat against Show Low on the 3rd. As for ALA - Ironwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-50 victory against Crismon on the 30th.
