Recap: Elba Bluejays vs. Riverside Chargers
The Elba Bluejays's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 47-25 walloping at the hands of Riverside. Elba has struggled against Riverside recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Elba saw an underclassman step up: Addison Wysocki almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Elba has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.
Elba will head out on the road to face off against Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin is on an eight-game streak of home losses, Elba a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Riverside will take on Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside is facing Hampton at the right time seeing as Hampton is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
