Dorman has no trouble against Spartanburg

The Dorman Cavaliers won the last time they faced the Spartanburg Vikings, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Dorman enjoyed a cozy 53-38 win over Spartanburg. Given Dorman's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Spartanburg is ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dorman found their leader in underclassman Morgan White, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. White is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Moore, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Dorman's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Spartanburg, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dorman will take on Wade Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wade Hampton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 435 points over their last seven matchups. As for Spartanburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against James F. Byrnes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. James F. Byrnes is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
