Volleyball Recap: Lauren Mccarthy and Sophia Miller Secure Win for Bishop Kenny

Bishop Kenny entered their tilt with Northside Christian on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mustangs.

Leading Bishop Kenny to victory were Sophia Miller and Lauren McCarthy. Miller had 13 assists and eight digs, while McCarthy had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Miller has posted over her last six matchups.

They weren't the only good servers: Bishop Kenny was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside Christian only served five.

Anastasia Papric and Kayla Gross certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Papric had nine digs and one assist, while Gross had eight digs. Madi Matro also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Bishop Kenny's record is now 11-4. As for Northside Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
