Football Recap: Tri County Northeast Comes Up Short

Tri County Northeast extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They had to suffer through a 55-8 loss at the hands of the Pender Pendragons. The Wolfpack were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

As for Pender, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. That looming 55-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Trevor Trimble produced another solid performance rushing for 144 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries, while also catching one touchdown. Those 144 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Reece Heineman was in the mix as well, providing Pender with two scores.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tri County Northeast is set to take on their familiar foe Wisner-Pilger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pender will challenge rival Homer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
